My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy should feel both supportive and effective—a space where you feel understood, but also where real change begins to happen.

My approach is integrative, which means I draw from several evidence-based therapies and tailor them to you. Every person and relationship is different, so therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Together, we focus on understanding what’s keeping you stuck while also building practical tools to help you move forward.

I incorporate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you better understand your thoughts, manage overwhelming emotions, and respond to life in a more grounded, intentional way.

For couples and relationship work, I use the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—structured, research-based approaches that help you improve communication, rebuild trust, and feel more connected to each other.

I also integrate attachment-based and nervous system-informed work, helping you understand how your past experiences and your body’s stress response influence the way you think, feel, and relate to others. This allows us to go beyond surface-level coping and create deeper, lasting change.

What This Means for You

In our work together, you can expect:

  • A space where you feel comfortable being yourself, without judgment

  • Insight into the patterns that are keeping you stuck

  • Practical tools you can actually use in your daily life

  • A deeper understanding of your emotions, relationships, and responses

  • Support in creating meaningful, lasting change

Therapy is not about being “fixed.” It’s about helping you feel more like yourself again—more grounded, more connected, and more in control of how you move through your life.

If you’re looking for therapy that is both thoughtful and practical, I’d be honored to work with you.
